  Prompt Response:  The factor that plays the biggest role in shaping my future career choice is my genuine interest and passion for the field. Summary:   This factor is most important to me because I want a future career that I look forward to and makes me excited and happy. I rather do something that brings me enjoyment and fulfillment for the rest of my life rather than something that does not just for money.  Reflection:  This decision would give me more overall quality of life since I get to enjoy my days and I will have more passion and motivation for my future career.

  Prompt Response:  The cultural group I found most interesting was the Latina Women since I can personally relate and understand how harmful these stereotypes are. Summary: This presentation talked about two very common stereotypes made about Latina Women, these made me realize how common and harmful these can be towards Latina Women can truly be and how important it is to break them and educate audiences. Reflection:  This presentation deepened my understanding about Latina Women stereotypes and how to be more conscious when watching film with stereotypes.

 Prompt Response : Education is extremely important in my life currently since I believe that knowledge is extremely powerful and beneficial for people and can give you many opportunities in life. Summary : I believe education is very valuable and no one can ever take that away from you no matter what. I believe most students around the world value school the same way I do since it is usually taught to be helpful for your future at a young age. Reflection : This is why I believe education is important for me and many others in the world.

What is one significant lesson about culture or identity that has stood out to you? Explain why this lesson is meaningful and analyze how it connects to your own experiences or perspective.

Prompt Response : One significant lesson about culture that has stood out to me is how important it is to embrace traditions in your culture and preserve the culture. One specific lesson about my culture that stood out to me was the ¨Fish Cheeks¨ Poem by Amy Tan. This lesson was about a girl who was embarrassed of her culture´s food at dinner in front of a boy she liked until she realized her mother made all her favorite meals that dinner. It shows me how we should not be ashamed of who we are and our culture, we should embrace it and be proud of it since it makes us all unique.

Prompt: What is the most exciting thing about graduating high school for you personally? In your response, explain what you are looking forward to most after graduation (college, career, independence, travel, etc.) and why it matters to you.

  Prompt Response : The most exciting thing about graduating high school for me is starting college and working toward becoming a sonographer. It matters to me because I’ll be building my future and doing something I’m interested in. Summary : I’m most excited to graduate so I can go to college for sonography and start my future career. Reflection : Graduation is important to me because it’s my first step toward the job and life I want.

  Prompt Response : I usually wear simple clothes, nothing with a lot of patterns. It’s usually pretty basic comfy outfits. People still sometimes assume things about you based on how you dress. Summary : I wear simple clothes, but people still make assumptions based on it. Reflection : It shows how people can judge others just from appearance, even when it’s nothing deep and just personal style.

  Prompt Response : A film that represents Hispanic culture well is “Coco”  . It shows Mexican traditions like Dia de los Muertos, family importance, and honoring ancestors. Miguel’s story shows how music and family history are deeply connected in the culture. Summary : The movie “Coco”  shows Mexican culture through family, traditions, and Dia de los Muertos. Reflection : It matters because it shows Hispanic culture in a positive way and helps people understand its traditions and values.
